It was the first time for many years when I have had the courage to leave my house on the wheelchair and began enjoying my life… I can still remember that beautiful day when I have found delight in sitting under the tree, listening to the gentle rustling of its leaves, laying my hand on its bark. I could smell wild flowers and grass, pick it up, feel it in my hands…
Having beautiful fragrance, juicy and green grass, that may seem nothing special for some, was a miracle of nature for me, a symbol of life, beauty and joy.
…We often don’t appreciate what we have, especially the things we got used to. It is not until we lose something that we realize how much it really meant to us and how little we appreciated and enjoyed it.
